A review site is only useful if people can trust it. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.
No paid removals, no paid scores
Businesses can reply to any review and can report reviews that break our guidelines. They cannot pay to remove, hide or reorder reviews, and paying for any of our tools never changes a score.
Every review is screened
Before a review counts, we check it automatically for signs of fake or paid posting: several reviews from the same network, copied text, bursts of reviews in a short time, contact details or links, and offensive language. Anything suspicious is held for a person to check.
Verified purchases
When a business invites a customer after a real order and that customer writes a review from the invitation, the review is marked Verified purchase. Reviews without the label are still genuine experiences; they were just not sent from an order.
Verified businesses
A Verified business badge means we checked the company’s official business registration and confirmed the person managing the profile works there. It says nothing about the quality of the business, and it does not affect the score.
Reporting
Anyone can report a review. When several people report the same review it is hidden while we check it. Our team decides whether it stays up based on our review guidelines, not on whether the review is positive or negative.
Complaints
If content on the site concerns you, our grievance officer handles complaints. See the grievance page.
